Ex Libris Association Annual Conference

$30.00 (includes lunch) members; $35.00 for non-members

 

Each year Ex Libris holds an annual conference with theme sessions. For 2011, in the morning, there will be a panel discussion on "E-books and Libraries" featuring Lani Sellick, a retired documentary producer; Joanne Lombardo, collections librarians for e-books at Toronto Public Library, and a e-book publisher on producing these digital formats. In the afternoon, the theme will be "The Human Library" with speakers from the University of Guelph, Cort Egan (manager of communications at U of G library), and Toronto Public Library's, Anne Marie Aikins (manager of corporate relations).

 

Kelly Moore, executive director of the Canadian Library Association, will also be present to speak to national developments for a short time in the morning.

Previous ELA conferences have included presentations on the future of librarianship (2002) as well as other important issues. Information on previous conferences is available for perusal.
